However, receiving a work visa is not an easy legal process and there is much to understand about it.

The Best Type of Work Visa in Israel: expert/executive Visa (B/1)

We can immediately say that the best type of work visa in Israel is the "Business Expert Visa". This type of visa allows a person to work in Israel without any working-hours limitations (in comparison with a student visa).

The Work Visa Process and its Requirements

It all starts with opening a local Israeli company. When you open your company, this company will be the employer of the foreign worker. And yes, your company can employ you.

The next step will be submitting an application to the so-called "Exceptions Committee". With the proper experience and knowledge, we obtain 80% success rate for our clients.

The applicant must not have any criminal record, and the applicat must be able to prove that with an official document.

Afterwards receiving an approval from the Exceptions Committee, we will apply for a Professional Employee Visa

There are two options in this Visa – the Executives Track and the Specialists Track.

After receiving approval for issuing a work visa in Israel for the client, the client receives a temporary visa to come to Israel, which he/she should pick up at the Israeli consulate in his home country.

Thereafter, the client will come to Israel physically, and in Israel we meet the individual client, take his passport to issue a permanent work visa for one year.

Important: there is an ongoing requirement for the work visa to: the new employee must now receive a monthly salary of a minimum of ILS 20,000 (about EUR 5,000)

The Term and Expiry of the Visa

The work visa in Israel expires after 1 year. At the end of a period of 1 year, the visa should be renewed again, and again, up to the maximum period of 5 years. In other words, the maximum renewal times of a work visa is 4 times (and 5 years in total including the initial period).

How Much Time Will it Take to Obtain a Work Visa in Israel?

Currently the process of obtaining a work visa can take 3-5 months, depending on the state and the client.

What is the Cost of Obtaining a Work Visa in Israel?

The costs of a work visa in Israel are comprised of state fees and legal fees.

State Fees

Stage 1: Applying via the government's online system for the initial approval on the host company's behalf. The government filing fee is NIS 1,200 (which is to be paid online at time of submission).

Should the request be approved, we will be moving to Stage 2 as follows:

Stage 2: Interior Ministry in-person submission of full original files and request for B/1 initial entry stamp: NIS 180.

Stage3: Upon arrival to Israel and retrieval of the applicant's passport, the client needs to get the multi-visa stamp. This costs an additional NIS 180.

Legal fees

Our legal fees are USD 9,000 per case.

Half is paid before the Exceptions Committee, and the other half is paid after approval in the Exceptions Committee and before applying for the visa.

The price for renewal after 1 year is the same - US $ 9,000.

Note: We also do not help with spouse visas, unless we handle the main visa as well, i.e. we help the spouse visa on the condition that we handle first the client's expert/executive work visa. On that note we also might help with Dependents visas. The price for such Israeli visas are USD 3,000 for each dependent visa, and this is the price for renewals as well.
